Fun in the sun...er...clouds!

As you can see, we went back to Ocean Beach with Kassie. I think she loved it even more this time. We wore swim suits so we could go way out and let her swim to us. She would not go very far out unless we were there. Once she got there she would flail around so I would hold her up and as I'm holding her she would pick up her back legs until she was almost floating on her back. It was pretty funny. As you can see, we took Grandma with us who had fun too. We also visited the dog park a couple of times this week, once with her pal Kodiak. And had dinner at my friend Bobbie's house. I'm tired!

Dog Beach...

Today was a full and exciting day. We put an offer on another house. We never get excited about a house until they accept our offer because so far no one has excepted our offer. It is a tough market, let me tell you! Afterwards, we met with a high school friend of mine and her 3 kids and both our dogs and drove to Ocean Beach to let the dogs frolic in the sand and surf. It was a test for both of us as neither have taken our dogs to the beach before. This is the only leash free beach in San Diego but Fiesta Island is leash free. Fiesta Island is bigger but we did not want to go over there. Kassie had a great time and was in the water in no time flat. I was shocked! I did not think she would go in beyond maybe getting her paws wet. Her mama got pretty wet too. She liked us to be in the water with her. My friends dog did really well also. Her dog is still a puppy and a different breed. Definitely had more energy to burn off than Kassie. All in all, we were probably there for 2 hours. Of course, in my rush to get house stuff ready this morning I forgot my camera at home. Here are a few pics of Kassie, Aria and my mom's cat Simba. My moms other cat Pepper was no where to be found when I was camera happy.
This is the house we just put an offer on. It has a huge yard especially by San Diego standards.
This is the one we offered on and DID NOT get it. We wanted it!
Kassie saying, Oh Cr@p. It's the camera.
My mom has Kassie's favorite toy in her hand.
Awe...Sweetness!
Not one but two toys at once. That dang phone rings too. Very annoying. (that's a phone shaped toy in her mouth)
Sweet Aria!
Hi mama...I'm not afraid of the camera!
Simba LOVES boxes. He slept in this one all day. hehe...he's still in it right now.
Sweet!

Go Chargers!

Chuck had the opportunity to go to the Chargers first pre-season game Saturday. Actually, he was kinda working. Him and a co-worker were on hand for the game as they installed and/or updated the stadiums audio/visual system. To make sure nothing went wrong or to quickly fix it if something did go wrong they sat in the Jumbo Tron room. That is where the stats people and tech crew sit. It is next to the booth with the news crews. He enjoyed free food and drinks and was able to go to the field for the pre-game. He sat on the Chargers bench, watched them come on the field through the cheerleaders and shook some of the players hands. Needless to say, the Chargers won the game. These pics were taken with Chucks cell phone. Not too shabby...

Welcome to the family...

Chuck and I want to welcome our new great nephew into the family. His name is Daniel, he was born on June 30th. His parents are Kevin and Sarah Rybarski. Sarah is Chuck's niece (mine too, hehe). Daniel also has big brother Tye, 2.

Sarah and her new bundle of joy.
The proud Papa...aka Kevin.
Grandpa's proud too. Chuck's brother Cam.
