1. An old clock in a museum that reads backwards. It was from a bar or saloon and was backwards so the barkeeper could read it in the mirror.
2. Green stuff from our yard.
3. While my uncle was here visiting we took a trip to Yuma, Arizona to see the old Prison. He's as guilty as he looks in this picture!
4. More green stuff. Yada yada yada...
5. Tomato plants in my next door neighbors yard. Look at all of those flowers. That's gonna be a lot of tomatoes. Oh yeah, and this picture isn't even half of this plant. It's humongous!
6. Hubs got a haircut.
7. My little tomato plant in my "topsy turvy". I have a few less flowers on my itty bitty plant than my neighbors(thank goodness cause what would I do with that many tomatoes?). Here are my very first 2 tomatoes of the season. Yummy!

Edit Me...

My Reflection of Something

This weeks photo was taken by Through A Photographer's Eyes. This picture is gorgeous sooc this week again. So the only thing to do for it is to go drastic and give it an old postcard look. She doesn't say where the photo was taken but it looks very much like the ghost town Bodie which is a little bit north of Yosemite. I adore Yosemite and have ventured to Bodie on two different occasions. It's a neat place. As the mines dried up people packed their wagons with what they would hold and simply left. The homes and businesses still stand waiting for their return. Of course, in disrepair. The place was never looted because it was owned for years by one man. Now it is a park you can visit and walk through.

SOOC
 My edit...
I used Pioneer Woman's action vintage,
I adjusted the levels within the action to taste.
Done!

1. I'm pretty sure you will always get at least one flower picture each week. I live in CA and flowers are everywhere here. This one is in our yard.
2. A cute little pug at the beach this week. All the dogs smile this big at the beach. They just can't help it.
3. Movie night!
4. My uncle came into town. That's him with my mom.
5. Yeah, who takes all their knives outside to do a photo shoot with them? Me!!!
6. A sailboat in the Pacific Ocean.
7. Lucy girl.

5 Question Friday

1. Do you and your spouse go to bed at the same time? No. But that is mostly because I don't work so I stay up later. Hubs starts work at 7:00 AM so he goes to bed way too early for me.

2. A question for the ladies...What kind of facial hair do you like on your man? None thankyouverymuch!

3. What's the worst vacation you've ever taken? Wow, I plead the fifth. I really don't want to hurt any feelings.

4. What's the first-ever blog you followed? I started blogging when all my friends in Tennessee started blogging. Unfortunately, most of them have quit their blogs. The first blog I followed where I didn't know the blogger was probably Angie Smith from Bring The Rain. I used to ball my eyes out reading her blog.
From there I found Mckmama and eventually Kelly's Korner. Kelly hosted a meme last year where you showed off your house room by room. That is where I branched out and met a whole bunch of new ladies who are awesome bloggers. Recently I branched out to the photography community.
So, my blog started out with very few readers but everyone knew me personally to now I don't know if any of my readers know me in real life...except my mil. She knows me really well.

5. Do you enjoy amusement parks? Ummmm...sure...I guess. But not in the heat of summer.

Edit Me...

My Reflection of Something
The Edit Me meme has returned. It has moved locations and is now hosted by Branson from the blog Reflections of Something. Go check it out! This picture was taken by Ashley from Ashley...plus 3.

Okay, so I really struggled with this edit. The picture is amazing sooc. I tried various things with this picture but everything I did looked dull next to the original. Finally I decided to just go with a clean edit. Why mess with perfection right?

What I did...
I adjusted the levels;
I adjusted the contrast;
I brought out the mountains and sky a bit more;
That's it! I told you...simple!

1. My skurd kitteh Aria. My moms kitteh Lucy has been chasing Aria around the house so on this day she took solace under the dining table.
2. A silly tree outside our window. This is me being uninspired on this day.
3. Another flower from the Carlsbad Flower Fields. Yes, I get to put one in this post as I took those pics last Saturday. It qualifies!!!
4. I finally planted our tomatoes in our "topsy turvy". That's cherry tomatoes on top and big boy tomatoes coming out of the bottom. This is what we did last year but the danged stupid goats ate my plants. This year there are NOOOOOOO goats!
5.* My water drop attempt. I've been wanting to try this. I liked that I saw my potential but I didn't give it the time it needed to do it right. I will go back and try this technique again soon. And next time I'll get it right! Please ignore the noise in this shot. I even ran a noise reduction filter.
6. Lucy gets jealous if she doesn't get equal or more camera time. So here the brat is.
7.* Circle. I found this glass orb on my moms shelf in the family room.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

SOOC
Sprouting
This rock is sprouting Epiphanie camera bags. I only had to wait 5 months for my Christmas gift. It was well worth the wait. I love my new Lola bag.
Ironic
It is a little ironic that I completely switched out some pictures and rearranged how they fit into this post because Saturday hubs and I went to the famous Carlsbad Flower Fields and I am in love with these pics. I put 3 of them in this post. I just had to...seriously. (Originally my camera bag was supposed to be my ironic. I coulda made that work after all, I made it work for sprouting. tehe)
Lazy
This kitteh was laying under a table in a soap shop at my favorite local garden Summer's Past Farms. I could not get the sweet kitteh to look at me for nothing. She just was not having anything to do with it. It doesn't get much lazier than this!
Smells Like Spring
Spring is coming to a close here in San Diego. We are well on our way to summer. It's been killer hot here lately...and it'll get so much hotter. Ugh!!! If you are in this area visiting from March to mid-May you must make time to see the Carlsbad Flower Fields. It's amazing and breathtaking.

3. Ummmm...it's fly porn.
4. The most important things in life aren't things. So true!
5. Can anyone guess what this is? I'll reveal it tomorrow on my scavenger hunt Sunday post.
6. Weeds...they are plentiful here in California.
7. Happy Mother's Day ladies!!!

Getting To Know You

 1. did you watch the royal wedding? I did. In fact, here on the west coast the pre-show started at 1 AM. I'm a night person anyway so I just stayed up all night long. I finally got to bed at 6 AM. I thought it was a gorgeous wedding. Very exciting. I was super over the news junk about the wedding and I'm still over the news talking about it.

2. tea and crumpets or coffee and a scone? If I have to have one of those then I would chose the tea and crumpets. I would much rather have a Diet Pepsi though.

3 who's cuter..prince william or prince harry? Prince Harry by a mile. He has a cute charm about him. I like that he can let loose more as he's not the heir but the spare.

4. can you speak in a english accent? No

5. do you own a fancy hat? Nope

6. would you rather live in a castle or an english cottage? English Cottage

7. how old were you when prince charles and princess diana got married?  were you even born? I was 6 years old. I did not see it on tv as we did not have cable or satellite at that time. We lived in the country...therefore, no tv reception. I've only seen clips on tv or in magazines since then.

8. have you found your prince? I guess you can say that I have...but don't tell my husband. He doesn't know!
