Xmas projects revealed...

Remember me teasing you with this picture a while back? Weeeeeelllll, it's time to reveal what I made from it.
I found this idea over at Kelly's blog. I thought...I can do this. Of course, my hubs had to weigh in and suggest we do snowflakes instead of shred. So, off to Michael's we went. We found a snowflake puncher. It punched one snowflake at a time! Hubs gets total props for doing 95% of all the punching. We used construction paper. Except for the chocolate brown color. A thicker paper had to be used for that as there was no brown in the construction paper. The brown about did us in. It was too tough to punch. We even broke the first puncher and had to go buy another one. Needless to say, only 2 ornaments were made in the lt. blue and brown color. Hehe...and if that weren't enough...I got 3 more 6 packs on clearance after Christmas was over. Next year should be fun!

My brand spanking new DSLR camera. I'm totally in love!!!!!!
But boy, do I ever have a lot to learn.
Ha! I found this list for hubs stocking. He had fun reading it out loud. Here it is. You have to read it.
I saw these cheeseballs over on Brandi's blog. I had to know where she found them. She kindly obliged the info. Sam's club. We only have 1 here in our area and as I LOVE Costco so much better we do not have a membership to Sam's. So, off we go...to Sam's. We got inside and I begged for a temporary pass and they gave me a 1 day membership pass. Ha! So the joke is...my grandfather used to buy all us grand kids a small tub of cheeseballs and wrap it for us. Every year we got these darn things. It confused us as to why and even became the family joke. It's not Christmas till we had our tub of cheeseballs. Well, it's been years. I thought it would be funny to show up with a humongous tub of them. My mom kinda beat me to the punch by also getting us small tubs. Now I'm swimming in danged cheeseballs. Just thought you would like to know one of our old corny traditions.
I want you to leave all warm and fuzzy. So here's my sweet babies.

Hope you like pictures...

...cause there are a lot of them in this post.
The first set of pictures are with my point and shoot camera as I had not opened my present yet.
It's Christmas morning...let the gentle gift opening chaotic paper shredding begin. First up, Rose opened her gift from Aunt Cindy and Uncle Harry. It was a personal calendar. Neato!
Kassie enjoying her new bed. She's wearing the jacket grandma bought her last Christmas.
Rose settling in for the long haul. Here she got a new scarf, hat and gloves. Also, she got these new pajama's. She opened them on Christmas Eve so she could wear them. Anyone who knows her knows how much she loves Tinkerbell.

Chuck's turn.
Grandma's turn.
Grandma got Rose her own camera. Now we're in for it.

Boots from Mom and Dad.
This box came a few weeks ago. She's thinking...FINALLY!
We got her a purse and put it in this cool round box.
Chuck's "patchwork" wrapping of my camera. He was so proud.
My excitement!!! I could not contain myself.
We got Rose this 3 pack of curling irons.
Chuck's gift from my mom.
It's a pop-up shade shelter.
Notice the mess growing around her.
Her mom and dad also got her some clothes. She's holding a sun dress with a matching jacket.
Goodness, she loves bows.
Her mom and dad got her a wii game(my sims), a video(sisterhood of the traveling pants) and a christian cd(Kari Jobe).
Cheese...
This is where the new camera comes in. Still practicing! I took over 200 pics with it on Christmas. Most I had to delete.

My mom hosted dinner for Christmas. Here is my brother John.
My sister-in-law Sheila.
The hubs!!!

Remember my post a week or so ago about these card hangers? My friend, Rhonda, gave me the name of the blog I found this on originally. I was blog hopping and could not remember where I had seen it. I wanted to give credit where it was due. You can find the original post plus many lovely Christmas ideas on This Blessed Nest! Go check her out, you may find a great idea to steal borrow yourself.

Run, run, as fast as you can...

...you can't catch me, I'm the Gingerbread Man!
Yes, we decorated our gingerbread cookies tonight. As you will see, we are amateurs. If anyone asks...Rose did them all! haha
Okay...no really...these are mine. You will see someone made the snowmen out of "yellow" snow. Not cool!!! (hehe, it may or may not have been me)
These are Chuck's. No yellow snow over here. But I think his bell may have a booboo.
Miss Rosie's handy dandy work.
Rose wanted some close ups of her work. How about this poor guy. I think she was trying to empty all the piping bags at the end onto this guy.
She's quite proud of her peace snowflake.
and with that...peace out!
