5 Question Friday

1. If you could, would you go back to high school? Only to study better. Most certainly not for social reasons. Been there, done that!

2. If a genie appeared and granted you two wishes, what would they be? (And, no saying "more wishes".) 1)For my hubs to have perfect health. 2)To own a house free and clear of debt.

3. What kids show do you secretly like? Spongebob Squarepants, Hannah Montana(sweet niblets lol)

4. What is your beverage of choice? Diet Pepsi (I don't really drink alcohol but if I had to choose something I would pick a Strawberry Daiquiri)

5. What is something that you would change about yourself (or are working to change in yourself)? I would change my weight. Hubs and I had a long talk about this last weekend. I'm sure I've gained 20lbs this past year. Very stressful with my niece living here. Plus, I was already over weight. When Rose goes home I'll be going into overdrive trying to lose this weight.

Yup...the beach!

I didn't get a lot of new footage today because Kassie looks exactly the same as every other visit. And...the beach looks exactly the same as every other visit we make. I did get a couple pics to share.

Perfect Saturday afternoon activity!

As we were walking down the beach we saw this dog digging furiously in the sand. When we came back the other way it was laying in the hole as happy and content as can be. Super funny!

These next 2 were taken in our yard just before leaving for the beach. Kassie loves to roll in the grass weeds and then bask in the sun. These were funny because her ears were up the whole time...even while enjoying a rawhide.

So, where was Rose? Grandma called Friday and volunteered to take her for the weekend. Woohoo! Partayyy!!!!!! We went to the drive-in on Friday night. Today, after the beach we went to an amazing Mexican restaurant here called Casa De Pico! Yummmmmm!

Five Question Friday

1. What was the first car you owned? It was a 1988 Ford Escort. My dad bought it for me when I was 19(he wanted his car back). That dumb car was such a lemon. It looked okay on the outside but it ran like poo. I gave the car back to him when I bought my own first car at the age of 21. It was a Ford Ranger. I ♥ trucks!

2. What song are you embarrassed to know the lyrics to? Every time I sing along to Kesha I want to poke my eyes out and super glue my lips together. That is NOT singing. I don't like Kesha but I can't help singing along.

3. Have you ever had stitches? Yes, on my neck when I had surgery on my thyroid. Funny...hubs just had a similar surgery. Now we have matching scars on our neck.

4. What was your first job? Cashier at Kragen Auto Parts

5. Who is your favorite Sesame Street character? I never really watched Sesame Street. We lived in the country...no cable. But just from a commercial stand point. I like Elmo and the Cookie Monster.

1. Mens chests..hairy or hairless? Hubs has no hair on his chest but I would not mind a little. And by little I mean VERY little! I am not a fan of facial hair.

2. How often do you run red lights? Never...I really try not to. I will go through a yellow light if I am going fast and it would be too tough to come to a stop. (I'm a fast driver but I try to be safe)

3. If you could raid any celebrity's closet..whose would you raid? Sarah Jessica Parker, Reese Witherspoon, Katie Holmes.

4. Would you rather have more followers/friends on Facebook, Twitter, or your Blog? Probably my blog...I don't know. I like having lots of facebook friends too.

5. What makes you feel sexy? When I'm skinnier! Or when I have my hair professionally done.

6. I get excited when...........? Hubs cooks dinner, going on vacation, going anywhere, friends come to visit, Christmas morning...

7. Are you the "outdoorsy" type or more "indoorsy"? I'm kinda both. I love the outdoors but it's been a while since I've wanted to tent camp. I love Yosemite. It's my personal "happiest place on earth".

8. Would you rather have your dream home or a million dollars? Probably a million dollars. It stretches farther then a dream home. Most dream homes are expensive to keep up anyway.

1. What words do you use on your blog/online that you don't use in real life? Hubs, anyhoodles, any(insert any other word or sentence here)

2. Do you still write checks? Why, yes. I do! But only a couple a month. My house rent and our storage unit. After that it is for special reasons only. I lurve online banking!

3. Who was your favorite President and why? President Reagan. Because he is the first president I have an awareness for where I actually knew who he was and what he did. His administration also represents the best part of my childhood.

4. Are you a yeller? YEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! Sadly, I am.

5. Have you ever dumpster dived? No! But it's not beneath me to try it sometime.

Spring break fun...day 15 & 16

I am so excited to finally get to write this sentence...ROSE GOES BACK TO SCHOOL TOMORROW! It has been the longest 2 weeks EVER!

Yesterday we drove to Hollywood to see the Stars walk of fame. It was a fun day. First we walked the whole length of the walk of fame and then back again. Then my over-achieving husband took us to the Hollywood sign. Seriously, I just asked him to move us a block or 2 up for a better view. I could get a good pic because I had my telezooming lens with me. We lost sight of the sign and in our efforts to re-find it we ended up right under it. Next we drove over to Rodeo Drive. No celebrity sightings...boo! Then, on our way home we stopped for dinner at the Rainforest Cafe. There are 2 in the L.A. area(I love my iphone. I was able to research all this info while hubs drove). One at Disneyland and one at the Costa Mesa mall. I called the Disney location as we would be driving right by. 2 hour wait and they would not take my name over the phone. So we went to the mall one. Sat down immediately. I had a strawberry Daiquiri...YUM!!!

Spring break fun...day 14

Today's escapades took us to Old Town. The best part about Old Town is that it is FREE! (unless you buy a bunch of touristy junk) Old Town is downtown, across the freeway from the airport. It is the first colony or town developed here in San Diego a couple hundred years ago. The history is rich...the Mexican food delish...the crowds, crowded(except today which was perfect)!

So, what do I get stuck doing tomorrow? Hollywood...the walk of fame...Rodeo Drive! Weeeeee!

Spring break fun...day 12

Sleeping in...is the bomb! I slept in today and still took a ridiculously long nap. Hey, the day is not over. One more nap may be in store for me.

I finally roused myself, took a shower and we headed out. My goals for today were to go pick up my painted pottery and lunch at the Corvette Diner...and maybe the library for Miss Thang.

Before we left I googled the diner because I had not been there in a while. Good thing I did. They had moved. They have been in Hillcrest forever and a day. Now they are in Point Loma. They've made the place look the same but it was NOT the same. They no longer throw handfuls of Bazooka gum at you. They also used to throw your drink straws and napkins. Didn't happen. Maybe we just got a dud of a server. The hostess said they still do all that stuff(except the gum). It could have been the late hour. We did not get there till 2 PM. The lunch crowd had already come and gone. Maybe the excitement of the place is caused by having a full house. Who knows??? The food was still good.

Our afternoon ended with a quick trip to the library. We fought Rose soooo much this year on reading. I will bend over backwards to make sure she has the books she needs to read. If she asks for a trip to the library...we usually drop everything and go!
