Free getaways are not always free!

These pics are from our little trip to Yuma, AZ for the Kenny Loggins concert. This first picture is of the rack room. This room basically controls the sound and video for the whole casino. The rest of the pics where taken of the actual concert. We were all the way at the back of the room. As in, against the back wall next to the sound booth. They needed Chuck to be close for emergencies. Thank goodness he was not needed. I also was not able to use my flash so all the pics are taken zoomed in and without the flash. Needless to say, I did have a lot of throw away pictures but got a lot of really good pics too. The lights were amazing. I posted some of my favorite pics with cool lighting effects.

At one point, these people way in front of us stood up and I thought it was cool to take pics with their profiles. This was the best one to turn out. Does anyone else like this?

Okay, so this was after the concert in the back hallway. We were leaving the venue to get a late dinner when we walked into a mob greeting Kenny Loggins. Since I did not have a true backstage pass I did not get into the mix. I just snapped a few pics from behind and we continued on to dinner.

Over all, a good concert. Not my first choice in who to go see but he was entertaining and did a very good job. And...it was free!

You probably want to know what I meant on my title. Well, after dinner in a very nice steakhouse, a full tank of gas, new swimsuits, lunch, snacks, sodas...not a free trip!!! (we slept through breakfast..tehe)

Not Me! Monday

I did not spend all day yesterday miserably sick. Hubs would never tell me I was not sick because I had no fever or was not throwing up. I didn't know those were the only symptoms for being sick. Yes, I only have a cold but that does not equate "not feeling well". I was sick!

Hubs, surely, would not want to admit I was sick cause then he would have to cook and clean. He did however meet me half way and "help" cook. I still had to clean up. Men! Gotta love em!!!

I did not babysit my friends 3 yr old boy one day this week. I did not stress over him having meltdowns and tantrums due to boredom at my house. He most certainly did not instead have a fantastic time. Never crying, disobeying the rules, talking back...nothing. It was great. My backyard came to the rescue. And the weather was perfect.

When driving back to his house in the evening for bedtime, he did not sing Timbaland's Apologize at the top of his lungs and then ask me to play it again. Thank goodness I was playing my ipod not the radio.

When asked to make chocolate chip cookies with a certain 3 yr old boy I did not decide to make 1 batch to send home with him then at the last second double it so I could eat some too. I.WOULD.NEVER!!!

I do not just love this face. I would not give serious consideration to adopting her. When let out of their small yard into the big yard she comes to my door and sits there looking in at me...waiting. The others could care less. She loves me. My heart is melting and I am torn...

Not Me! Monday

**UPDATE** I have been told by a couple people they think that it is a hawk not an eagle. I'm still not sure but either way I'm still impressed by it's size. I can't believe how close I was to it in my yard.

I most certainly did not miss last weeks Not Me therapy due to my computer not "seeing" the internet connection. I would have driven all the way across town to my mom's house to post on my blog. Sure I would!!!

I did not even give it a valiant effort by sitting on the phone with Cox cable for half the day. I was not defeated when I had to wait till Tuesday for a repairman to come by to fix the cable connection.

Hubs has not worked the last 2 weeks out of town...not even coming home till Saturday both weekends. I was not crushed when he said he had to go again this week. I do feel blessed he has a job!!!

I was not rewarded for his hard work by going to the Melting Pot for Valentine's on Sunday night. We have not celebrated Valentine's on Valentine's since like, well, never! I don't mind..it was the Melting Pot!!!!!!!!

I would never look up and out the window in time to see a huge eagle swoop down and catch a rabbit in our new large country yard. I didn't even have time to run and fetch my camera. When the eagle tried to take off it did not lose it's grip on the rabbit. The rabbit did not make a hasty retreat to safety. (of course it did!!!) The eagle flew over to the trampoline looking for the rabbit underneath. That is where I got my fabulous picture. I love my zoom!

Hubs did not find an old bandanna and proceed to give me more blog fodder. Video speaks for itself.

My Mother in Law finally made it home from the extended care facility. Please pray she continues to recover quickly from her hip replacement surgery.

I am ready for upper 60's to lower 70's weather again. This 50's junk is for the birds! Guess who is going to the Melting Pot for Valentine's? Guess...! ME!!!!!!!! hehe well, we could not get in till Sunday but that's ok. IT'S THE MELTING POT!!!!!! So excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't leave your black cats outside tonight.

btw, I'm not superstitious. Just having fun with all those that are. Sorry if you are. No harm, no foul.

Literally, standing on my front patio. It's about 55 degrees outside but it is a gorgeous day.

my house and the landlords house. We never see them.

My landlord fosters Maltese mix puppers. They sure are yappers but super cute. I am not sure how many are back there because I think some are inside too. I would say she has 5 or 6. I think 2 or 3 are hers the rest are foster. They don't bark at me anymore but they bark at Kassie if she gets too close to their fence.

Their bark is not mean...they are very friendly little guys.

We have been in our new house for almost a week now. Chuck was sent to Yuma, AZ on Wed. and he did not get home till this morning. He pulled an all nighter last night. Needless to say, he's in bed right now. My week has been crazy. Sunday we moved in the morning. Thanks to all our help we finished quite quickly. Then we went back to my moms for more stuff we had at her house and to pick up the puppers. We got back to our new house around 3 and started putting together our new furniture. Hubs realized we missed an important piece for my desk and suggested we go right then to get it from Ikea. (Ikea furniture is build it yourself) So we did. He ended up putting together my desk and a dresser Sunday night. Monday I went shopping for stuff we needed and went back to my moms for a few hours. (Mostly to check my computer...I'm addicted) She agreed to come back to the house with me. From 7 till midnight we cranked out a bunch of unpacking. Man, am I blessed or what? Tuesday I was on my own but continued to make progress on unpacking. Tues. night a friend and her herd of children came over to help. Blessed! After Chuck came home I had a chance to use his laptop to get online (addict). Wed. Chuck left around 4am for Yuma. I went shopping again and made it by my moms for more stuff and computer time. I came home and finished the kitchen. yay, one room complete! Thursday the phone company came out and took 1 1/2 hours to get us hooked up. Dang! In the meantime I started to feel horrendous. After he left I took my temp and it was 101. I was good for nothing the rest of the day. Friday was a "get nothing done" day as well. Luckily, the cable box came Wed. I watched on demand movies all day for 2 days. So, along with cable came internet. It kills me that my computer is still at my moms. Hubs walked in the door this morning. I said, hi...missed you...glad you're home...WHERE'S YOUR LAPTOP??? hehe...

We still have lots to do. Hope to accomplish lots this weekend. I want to bring kitty over when we go after my computer. I have really missed her. Sorry this is rambling on...

Can you believe I went 2 1/2 days without a computer and lived to tell the story???

A few days ago, after I made a fantabulous dinner, hubs did not start our prayer with "honey". I did not fall out of the chair laughing. It did not take a couple of minutes to pull myself back together so we could pray for real.

I most certainly would never have then called my brother honey when I was talking to him on the phone a few days later. And of course I would never bring attention to it by admitting it. Oops!!!
*
We did not get moved this weekend. Yeah, that's a fib...I already showed you all pics.

We did not spend a million dollars at Ikea this weekend. We should have just bought Ikea stock. It would have been cheaper.
*
When putting together my new desk, hubs did not notice we forgot to get a very important piece of it. We did not immediately jump in the car and go to Ikea to get it.
*
Everything I own is not sitting in the middle of my new living room and kitchen.
*
My puppers is not freaked out at all by the move. Nope, she loves an adventure!!!
*
I did not dump a big box of powdered doughnuts all over the passenger seat of my new used Xterra. I would never be that clumsy.
*
I'm not doing this Sunday night and I am not exhausted! Yes, I am!
