The boy and the girl had been dating for a while...a very short while...when they thought it would be fun to join their singles group on a camping trip to Yosemite. Boy and girl found that they both loved the outdoors (boy a little more then girl but whatevs). The group was planning a long weekend for the trip. The girl would have NONE of that. Yosemite is her most favoritest place ever, you see. She talked boy into going a few days early to make it a full week trip and to "save" the campsite for the rest of the group. Yosemite campgrounds book up very quickly after all. Boy and girl had lots of fun exploring the area. They rode horses and went hiking and drove down to the valley and up to Glacier Point. There was a fire over at Half Dome while they were on Glacier Point so they saw everything. When the group joined them the fun just got funner! The group took a huge 15 mile hike (which girl opted out of for some quiet R and R in camp), there were fishing expeditions (again, girl opted out of these), a few of us drove up to a ghost town called Bodie (really neato). Boy and girl had tons of time together but were also allowed the freedom of spending tons of apart time too.
❤
Boy and girl have lots of fun together but their dates tend to be quite ordinary. No exciting grand schemes which cost lots and lots of money. They both agreed that the camping trip was a best date ever. Maybe in the ordinary category now that they are married but as a newly dating couple it was exciting. They loved camping on the beach in the Outer Banks of NC but that was a post marriage thing and nothing super exciting happened while on the trip. Any time they go to the Melting Pot is considered one of girls best dates ever.

Now, for a not so good date. Boy and girl had been married exactly 3 months. Girl had to work as she worked on Saturdays at the time. Boy had the day off. Boy and a friend decided to go to the mountains to hike and boy also liked to free climb. That's rock climbing without ropes. When they got to the top of the mountain where the rocks were the friend settled in for a relaxing break. Boy started his climbing. Shortly after, he slipped and fell 20 feet landing on and shattering both of his heels. Girl got a phone call from the friend. She worked 2 blocks from the hospital they were transporting boy to. Work let girl go. It took a few weeks before the docs could do anything about the broken feet cause they had to wait for the swelling to go down. One foot was set while the other needed surgery. Girl planned on being there for the surgery but assumed she would go home to sleep. Boy did not take to surgery very well. Girl decided to stay. She sat in a horrible chair next to boys bed. They woke him to shift his foot quite often. The pain was unbearable. Girl got no sleep that night. Girl had to work the next day. Girl called in...work understood. And that was a very bad date night indeed!
