Spring break fun...day 7

So, today we went to Yuma, Arizona. It is a 2 1/2 hour drive from San Diego. The goal? The Yuma Territorial Prison...and as a bonus, Cracker Barrel. We don't have any Cracker Barrel's here. The one in Yuma is the closest one. I love their store front! The prison is a 100 year old landmark. Just neat to see the old stone and stucco buildings. The stories of how these inmates lived were atrocious. Like, when they were being punished with the "hole" (kind of like solitary confinement but not solitary). They were put in a 5' tall cage in a completely darkened cell that could hold a total of 16 inmates at once(the most they had in it at once was 14). They did not get a chamber pot. They just had to pee and poo in a corner of the cage. It was only cleaned 1 or 2 times every 3 months. **shudder**

Anyyuckygross...

Rose got to bring a friend. Kind of a boringish day for the girls but better then sitting home bored on their spring break. The result though...5 hours of backseat giggles! eeeek!!!
